Transport Layer Security (TLS) is a protocol for web browsers to securely and privately communicate with websites. An older version of this protocol (TLS 1.0) has several flaws that can create the potential for an entered credit card and other sensitive information to be visible to others
Helping to protect consumers are the Payment Card Industry Security Standards (PCI), a set of guidelines that websites that handle credit card data, such as our own, abide by.
Starting this summer, PCI's guidelines will require websites that handle credit card data to disable TLS 1.0, requiring visitors to be using web browsers compatible with TLS 1.2 (many websites will be disabling TLS 1.1 alongside TLS 1.0). This website currently follows these upcoming requirements — so if you can see this page, you are set! Our email services will be following this security measure later this year.
To ensure you are able to still access your favourite websites, please upgrade your web browsers to at least one of these versions:
- Internet Explorer 11 or better (newest version)
- Google Chrome 30 or better(newest version)
- Mozilla Firefox 27 or better (newest version)
- Safari 8 or better (newest version)
- Opera 15 or better (newest version)
